Charity fashion event supports Lao Autism Association
Jaguar Land Rover Laos joined hands with the organisers of the Lao Fashion Week to hold a charity fashion event last week to support the Lao Autism Association and to promote Jaguar TCS Racing.
The event, which included a fashion show by members of the Lao Young Designers Project, aimed to attract the attention of the Lao public to Formula E and electric vehicle (EV) technologies and to help Jaguar TCS Racing become a catalyst for electrification, low carbon emissions and sustainable mobility.
The event also promoted members of the Lao Young Designers Project, providing them a platform to showcase their talents and become professionals in the fashion industry.
The event included an auction to raise funds for the Lao Autism Association to build its career development programme in order to promote the rights of individuals with autism, to improve their access to appropriate services, and to provide them and their families with education, therapy and training to better equip them to live productive lives.
The Managing Director of Automotive, Mr Wayne McIntosh, the General Manager of Jaguar Land Rover Laos, Mr Biju Narayanan, the President of the Lao Autism Association, Mr Sivang Xayyavong, and the founder and CEO of the Lao Fashion Week and Lao Young Designers Project, Ms Pany Saignavongs, made speeches highlighting the significance of the charity event.
The organisers urged the public to watch live broadcasts of Jaguar TCS Racing and to support the products of Lao designers.
Jaguar branded goods and other products were part of the auction and all proceeds were donated to the Lao Autism Association.
Before the start of the fashion show, the audience watched a Formula E race, which is the world’s first all-electric international single-seater championship that is officially known as the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Its mission is to promote sustainable mobility and to contribute to a better and cleaner through electric vehicles.
Ms Pany said the charity fashion show by the Lao Young Designers Project featured brands such as SUDA, Thaveth, VINUS, Jatava and Khampoun, and added to the atmosphere of entertainment.
