Winners of the 3rd Digicon6 Asia contest announced
The short video titled “Water Spirit” by Ms Thidavan Oudomvilay, a student of year 4 at the National Institute of Fine Arts, was declared the winner of the 3rd Digicon6 Asia short video competition.
Ms Thidavan received a prize of five million kip and a chance to attend the regional round of the Digicon6 Asia competition that will be held in Japan in November.
The video titled “Sound Wave” by Ms Sili Youpha, a year 3 student of the National Institute of Fine Arts, secured the second place in the competition while the video “Namtayak” by Mr Anouphong Khounphithak, a student of year 3 at the National Institute of Fine Arts, secured the third place.
Ms Sili received a prize of three million kip while Mr Anouphong Khounphithak received a prize of 1.5 million kip.
All three of them appreciated their success the competition, which was organised by the Japan Foundation Asia Centre and the Department of Cinema last Saturday.
The three videos will be sent for the regional round of the Digicon6 Asia competition in Japan in November. Ms Thidavan will travel to Japan to attend in person.
