Lao filmmakers discuss films with Japan envoy

The Ambassador of Japan to Laos, Mr Kobayashi Kenichi recently invited Lao filmmakers to discuss and exchange views on the Lao film industry.
Lao filmmakers, including Ms Mattie Do, Mr Anixxy Keola, and Mr Douangmany Soliphan met the Japanese Ambassador at his residence over lunch and exchanged views on the movie industry.
The Director of the Japan Foundation in Vientiane, Mr Hiroshi Uchida, also attended the lunch and took part in the discussions.
Mr Hiroshi Uchida’s tenure in Laos ends soon and he will return to his home country. During his time in Laos he helped exchange and promote Lao arts and culture and also films.
The participants congratulated Mr Uchida and wished him well for his next inning.
