Lao Football Federation runs training sessions for provincial coaches
The Lao Football Federation (LFF) is running “D” Certificate coaching courses for football trainers in rural provinces of the country this year.
The aim of the course is to improve provincial coaches’ knowledge and skills in the basics of football.
In the future, the trainees will have the opportunity to attend coaching courses at the regional and Asian levels.
The new coaches will also be involved in efforts to train up children in remote areas to become the young stars of the future and give them the chance to play with junior national teams.
From March 1-4, four LFF officials and the Xaysomboun provincial Football Federation ran an LFF “D” Certificate coaching course to teach provincial coaches the rules of training and refereeing.
After they finished the course, the trainee coaches tested their skills at a grassroots football event attended by boys and girls from 10 primary schools.
Also from March 1-4, LFF officials ran a “D” Certificate coaching course in Saravan province for trainers, after which they organised a football training event for boys and girls from 10 local primary schools.
From March 8-13, the LFF “D” Certificate coaching course will be held in Borikhamxay province, while the same course will be taught from March 9-12 in Xekong province.
This will be followed by similar courses from March 15-18 in Attapeu and Xieng Khuang provinces.
LFF “D” Certificate coaching courses will be taught in other provinces in the future.
